14. Meta Horizon Platforms and the Faultline XR Application
The Faultline XR application, published by Immergence Studio under the Pro XR brand, is distributed on the platform Meta Horizon (Meta Quest headsets). This section details, in accordance with Meta Horizon Developer Data Use Policy, the data that the app accesses via Meta's services and SDKs, and how we use it.
Faultline XR guiding principle: no persistent storage of data from the Meta account. The Meta data listed below is used only during the usage session, in memory on the device, and is then not neither stored, nor transferred to our servers, nor transmitted to third parties.
14.1 Meta Data Used by the Application
Faultline XR requests access to the following Meta Horizon platform features. For each, the table specifies the actual purpose and retention period.
| Meta feature |
Relevant data |
Purpose in Faultline XR |
Conservation |
| Identifiant utilisateur |
User's Meta account technical identifier |
Identify the player within the current session to enable application features (session initialisation, association with the local game instance). |
None. Used in memory during the session only, not saved. |
| User Profile |
Meta Horizon profile name and profile photo |
Display the user's identity on screen (and, where applicable, to other participants in a session) for a personalised experience. |
None. Displayed in session, not saved. |
| Avatars (Meta Avatars) |
User's Meta Avatar (persistent visual identity of the Meta ecosystem) |
Provide the user with their visual representation (avatar) in the application, via the integration of the Meta Avatars SDK. |
None. Returned in session via the Meta SDK, not saved on the Pro XR side. |
14.2 What we do — and don't do — with this data
- We do not store the Meta identifier, name, photo or avatar on our servers or in a database.
- We are not creating a profile no advertising or profiling based on this data.
- We do not sell or share these data with third parties for commercial purposes.
- We do not use this data outside the scope of the application's operation as described above.
- Access to this data remains governed by the terms and privacy policy of Meta Platforms ; We are limiting ourselves to what is strictly necessary for Faultline XR to function.
14.3 Technical data of the headset
As with our other XR applications, minimal technical device data (headset type, system version, session identifiers) may be processed locally to ensure the proper functioning and compatibility of the application. This data is not persistently linked to your Meta identity.
14.4 Your rights and Meta's role
Given that Faultline XR does not retain your data from your Meta account, there is no store of this data to view, rectify, or delete on our side beyond the session. You also retain control, directly within your Meta account, over the permissions granted to the application:
- You can at any time revoke permissions from the Faultline XR via your Meta account / Meta Horizon settings.
- You can uninstall the app, which will end all access to your Meta account data.
- For any questions concerning this specific treatment, please contact us at contact@pro-xr.com Subject: Meta Horizon Data – Faultline XR.
Meta Horizon Compliance: This section is provided in order to meet the requirements of the Meta Horizon Developer Data Use Policy (Platform Condition 2.2) and to transparently document the use of the User Identifier, User Profile, and Avatar functionalities enabled for the Faultline XR application.
